Young talents of «Antares» are training at KBSU

September 13 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov launched an educational program in fine arts «Art Change» for students in grades 7-9 of the educational center «Antares».

The shift was organized by the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of the KBSU and the Regional Center for Identifying and Supporting Gifted Children in the Field of Art, Sports, Education and Science in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic «Antares».

The purpose of the art shift is to identify, develop and support gifted children in the field of fine arts. The program is aimed at organizing meaningful leisure for students, meeting their needs in active forms of cognitive activity, providing conditions for a high-quality educational process, as well as searching, accompanying and developing children’s abilities in the field of fine arts.

“Today we started the autumn shift, where 32 schoolchildren will be trained for three weeks. The first day is an excursion, the guys get acquainted with students, teachers, audiences, where they will study in the future. This acquaintance was held for them by the director of the College of Design of KBSU Alim Magomedovich Kanloev,” — said Fatima Kanokova, Deputy Director for Research and Computerization of the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of KBSU.

The training consists of four courses — theoretical, practical, a series of master classes and an exhibition course, which include thematic lectures, practical classes in drawing, painting, composition, visits to artists’ studios, a center for folk art crafts and participation in an exhibition. In the process of completing the educational program, students master such techniques as «painting on wet», «painting on dry», «decorative painting», «grisaille», «pencil drawing», «drawing with soft materials», «collage», «ebu» , «experimental acrylic painting», «batik». In addition, it is planned to visit the Kabardino-Balkarian Museum of Fine Arts named after A.L. Tkachenko, the National Museum of the KBR and the art center of Madina Saralp.

“At the end of the shift, children will not only gain knowledge of fine arts and experience communicating with leading painters, architects and designers of our city, but they will also be able to immerse themselves in this profession. Then these same children will come to us for the 2nd stage — the art shift in design,” — shared Fatima Yuryevna.
