Representatives of KBSU mastered modern methods for training public observers

Representatives of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. \M. Berbekov mastered new methods for monitoring the electoral process and received an invitation to a large-scale federal-level scientific forum.

Olga Mikhaylenko, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Physical Education and Sports Education (IPPiFSO) and Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education (RAE) at KBSU, and her deputy, Ruzana Pshigausheva-Sherieva, acting as regional instructors for training public observers, successfully completed the advanced training program.

The course «Expert-Analytical and Organizational-Methodological Support for Public Election Observation» was delivered at the Institute of Continuing Education of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) in Moscow. The acquired knowledge and practical skills will enable KBSU representatives to effectively coordinate the work of public observers in Kabardino-Balkaria, ensuring openness, transparency, and the protection of citizens’ rights during the vote.

Following her collaboration with the Russian State University for the Humanities, Olga Mikhayilenko received a personal invitation to Moscow to participate in the All-Russian scientific and practical conference «Unity and Diversity as a Strategic Resource for Russia in the Modern World.» The forum will be held on October 23, 2026, at the Russian State University for the Humanities with the support of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The Director of the Institute of Pedagogical and Physical Sociology will deliver a report at the plenary session entitled «The Role of Science and Education in the Implementation of State National Policy (using the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic as an Example).» Olga Mikhayilenko will examine institutional mechanisms, such as ethnocultural education and historical enlightenment, aimed at fostering a common Russian civic identity and carefully preserving the ethnocultural diversity of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
