Why is it beneficial for a student to do science at KBSU?

What is a student scientific society, where can a student who is fond of research work go for help, this and much more was discussed on March 2, 20023 at the joint meeting of student scientific societies of the Institute of Chemistry and Biology, the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education, Pedagogical College of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov.

The meeting was attended by employees of the Department of Scientific Research and Innovation at KBSU, Project Manager of the Department of Small Innovative Enterprises Lyana Zashakueva, Senior Researcher of the Department of Small Innovative Business, curator of SSS Aneta Kokoeva, Senior Researcher of the Grants Department, Ph.D. Artur Bagov, as well as the head of the department for training highly qualified personnel Marianna Yanova, the deputy director for research and development of the IHiB Zera Beslaneeva, the chairman of the SSS for medical and psychological sciences Ruslan Zhidkov.

The students were told about the structure of the student scientific society of the university, its goals, the types of events held and the benefits of doing science. Among the main goals of SSS, the chairman of the organization Ruslan Zhidkov, called the creation of conditions for the development of scientific potential and the formation of research competencies of university students; involvement of KBSU students in research, innovation and (or) scientific and educational activities; assistance in organizing the process of research, innovation and educational activities of KBSU students; improving the quality of student training in the main educational programs of the university.

«As for the incentive for students who are members of the SSS, the presence of a wide range of scholarships is very attractive here, which can be earned both for achievements in studies, creative and sports activities, and for success in research work. By participating in various grant competitions with your project, you can get significant support for its implementation», — Ruslan Zhidkov said.

One of the main tasks of the Department of Scientific Research and Innovation at KBSU is to create conditions for the research work of students and young scientists and the systematic development of scientific personnel potential while maintaining continuity and traditions, said Aneta Kokoeva, curator of the KBSU SSS. She recommended that students contact the specialists of UNIID KBSU for all questions that arise in the course of working on a project, article, etc.

«Correctly issue a scientific publication and find a journal to publish it, get a list of authors dealing with the same problem as you, our employees will help you», — promised Aneta Kokoeva.

Arthur Bagov is ready to help collect documents for participation in a grant competition, opening a startup.

«It is enough for you to come to us with your brilliant idea, and we will help you complete it,” — Artur Bagov assured the students.

What is an SIE, why create it and what are its advantages, Liana Zashakueva told:

«SIE or a small innovative enterprise created with the participation of the university under Law No. activities (RIA), the exclusive rights to which belong to the university. The advantages of creating an SIE with the participation of a university for an innovator are the introduction of the results of intellectual activity, the rights to which belong to the university; the possibility of using preferential taxation schemes; high competitiveness due to the monopoly on the release of a new original product that has a title of protection. Engaging the brand of the university, as well as promoting the IIP on the information resources of the university and in the media; obtaining consulting and other support».

Marianna Yanova spoke about the prospects for postgraduate professional education:

«So, what does postgraduate study give? Career promotion. An advanced degree can open up a wide range of career opportunities. Enhance education. Opportunities to research your own theories.
