Release date: 15.02.2023

February 17 is the Day of student groups in Russia. This year, 150,000 boys and girls from various regions of the country will be provided with temporary paid employment thanks to the Russian Student Teams, the largest youth organization in the country, created to develop the labor, creative and sports potential of young people, their civic and patriotic education.

Head of Career Development Department, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after HM. Berbekov Ratmir Kotsev spoke about the fact that student teams are a kind of filter for organizational and managerial personnel, an important step in shaping a young person’s career trajectory: pedagogical teams, more than 100 — in construction, more than 50 — in service teams (students of various areas of training, including «Tourism», «Hotel business»).

Soldiers of the student teams work both in Kabardino-Balkaria and beyond its borders (the Black Sea coast, the Krasnodar Territory, Moscow and the Moscow Region, etc.). In the summer of 2022, more than 25 university students as part of pedagogical teams worked in children’s holiday camps in our republic. In 2023, students will be involved in organizing children’s recreation, as well as tourism activities. The educational center «Sirius» (Sochi), the All-Russian Children’s Center «Change» (Krasnodar Territory, Anapa), the International Children’s Center «Artek» (Crimea, Yalta, Gurzuf), the All-Russian Children’s Center are ready to receive them. Center «Eaglet» (Krasnodar Territory, Tuapse District).

«Currently, on the basis of KBSU, student teams are being formed in the following areas: service, medical, pedagogical, as well as construction, whose fighters are expected in several cities of Russia. In the spring of 2023, training seminars and short-term refresher courses will be organized for children who plan to work in student teams during the summer. Training will be held free of charge at the expense of the federal and regional budgets», — said Ratmir Kotsev.

On December 12, 2022, a conference was held, during which the Kabardino-Balkarian regional branch of the All-Russian Youth Public Organization “Russian Student Teams” was established, the commander of which was unanimously elected head of the Employment Monitoring Department of the Career Development Department of KBSU Murat Kaytsukov.

«KBSU makes sure that its graduates are competitive in the labor market and successful, so most of the university’s curricula are practice-oriented. Labor and patriotic education have traditionally been the strengths of the university, and now, when the youth labor movement is reviving in the country, the prospects for self-realization of students are noticeably increasing», — Murat Kaytsukov emphasized.
