Representative of KBSU at the interregional meeting on inclusive education

December 21, 2022 Head of the Department of Inclusive Education of the Department of Educational Policy of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov Lyudmila Nastueva took part in the Interregional workshop of the Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the Education of Persons with Disabilities and HIA with partner universities of the North Caucasian Federal University on the basis of the North Caucasus Federal University, timed to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the RMC NCFU.

In the first part of the meeting, within the framework of the meeting at the Scientific Library of the NCFU, a round table was held «Development of inclusive higher education in the North Caucasus Federal District: results of a 5-year network interaction and prospects for cooperation.» At it, the participants shared the results of a joint five-year practice in the development of inclusive higher education. During the round table, the following issues were discussed:

— Regional approaches to ensuring the availability and quality of higher education for people with disabilities and disabilities;

– Increasing the attractiveness and accessibility of higher education for people with disabilities and disabilities: the university as an inclusive space;

– Individualization of career guidance as a promising strategy for the admission of persons with disabilities and disabilities to universities;

– University practices in the field of facilitating the employment of graduates with disabilities and disabilities;

– Formation of an inclusive socio-cultural environment and inclusive culture as the mission of the university.

Also during the meeting, plans for further cooperation were discussed. The second significant part of the event was the awarding of NCFU partner universities. In a solemn atmosphere, representatives of universities were presented with letters of thanks for fruitful cooperation and a significant contribution to the development of inclusive higher education in the North Caucasus Federal District, signed by Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Ivanov V.A. Lyudmila Nastuyeva thanked the staff of the RMC NCFU for their support, educational and methodological and consulting assistance on the development of inclusive higher education and wished further success and effective cooperation to all partner universities.
