KBSU sent over two tons of humanitarian aid to Dagestan

Release date: 22.04.2026

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov organized a humanitarian aid campaign to residents of the Republic of Dagestan affected by severe floods. As part of the initiative, university students and faculty, together with residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, collected over two tons of humanitarian aid.

The aid included food (cereals, canned goods, sugar), drinking water, hygiene products, household chemicals, construction tools, clothing, and bedding.
The kit was compiled taking into account the most pressing needs of the affected families.

The collected supplies were delivered to Dagestan State University, which is acting as a coordinating center for further aid delivery to the villages most damaged by the floods. Particular attention is being paid to remote and hard-to-reach areas, where assistance is especially needed to restore normal life and infrastructure.

The situation in the Republic of Dagestan remains challenging: floodwaters have inundated residential buildings and destroyed roads and utility lines, significantly complicating the work of rescue services and slowing the recovery process. In these circumstances, support from neighboring regions and public organizations is particularly important, enabling a rapid response to the needs of those affected.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov continues to actively participate in social and humanitarian projects aimed at supporting the population in crisis situations. The university not only unites students and faculty around ideas of mutual aid and solidarity but also serves as a platform for developing the volunteer movement, fostering a responsible and socially active youth.
