KBSU is a platform for six competencies of the regional stage of the “Professionals-2024” championship

From March 18 to March 24, 2024, the regional stage of the professional skills championship “Professionals-2024” is taking place in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Colleges of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov became platforms for 6 of the 25 competencies in demand in the region.

At the Pedagogical College, competitions are held in the “Teaching in the elementary grades” and “Pre-school education” competencies. The medical college has two sites for the competencies “Orthopedic Dentistry” and “Therapeutic Activities”. In the College of Information Technologies and Economics there is a platform for the “Web Development” competency. The college of design has a platform for the “Design of fashionable clothing and accessories” competency.

“In total, 30 KBSU college students are participating in the professional skills championship, 58 people are involved as experts, including 11 industrial invited specialists in the relevant field of professional activity,”

On the first competition day, March 20, 2024, at the Pedagogical College of KBSU, participants in the teaching competence completed tasks in module B “Development and conduct of a fragment of an extracurricular lesson using interactive equipment” and in module D “Development and demonstration of level educational tasks that ensure the mastery of a specific topic on one of the educational subjects.»

On the second and third days of the competition, future primary school teachers will demonstrate to the jury a fragment of a lesson using interactive equipment (Module A), conduct an interactive training for parents (Module D), and conduct an educational event using interactive equipment.

Competitive tasks for the “Preschool Education” competency began on March 19 with module B: “Interaction with parents (legal representatives) and employees of an educational organization,” within which it was necessary to develop a joint project of the teacher, children and parents and issue a project passport for the preschool group.

On March 20, the main group of participants completed the competition task for module G “Development and conduct of a morning circle”, where they had to demonstrate the skills of organizing and conducting the beginning of the day in the form of developmental communication (developmental dialogue), and for module A “Teaching and raising preschool children” , according to which it was necessary to develop, organize and conduct an integrated lesson with preschool children (speech development (expressive reading) with a subgroup of children including a didactic game on ICT equipment and elements of productive activity).

On March 21, the “teacher” contestants will organize the afternoon routine in kindergarten (module B), and on March 23, they will develop and conduct a parent meeting with a presentation on the results of the project (module D).

At the College of Design, contestants in the “Fashion Clothing and Accessories Design” competency worked on two modules, according to the brief chosen by drawing lots. Requirements — creation of a women’s trouser suit for a girl 18-21 years old on the theme «Zootopia» taking into account trends — layering, military and graffiti. Module A “Research” included tasks such as conducting research on the target audience, describing the concept of the products being developed, creating a mood board reflecting the general concept, theme and basic colors of the products being developed in the future. According to module B “Development of fabric patterns”, future designers had to develop a pattern and create at least three sketches of the pattern being developed through hand illustration.

On March 21, championship participants will be expected to develop the main product — a model of a women’s trouser sewing and knitting set (module B), develop an accessory — a bag (module D), and on March 22 — a description and presentation of products (module D and module E).

At the College of Computer Technologies and Economics, web developers completed assignments in Module A, “User Interface Development.” Within six hours, it was necessary to develop the “New Life” service, where users can leave information about found animals, and owners whose pets have gone missing can search for them. It was necessary to use elements, concepts and techniques in the design of the layout pages to attract attention, create a positive image of the resource, and implement modern web page design concepts.

In subsequent competition days, competitors must develop Web applications on the client side (module B), in particular, develop a Single Page Application (hereinafter referred to as SPA) for organizing data storage with the ability to differentiate access rights to files. According to module B “Server-side web application development”, create a data storage cloud with the ability to differentiate access rights to files.
