Release date: 07.10.2024

Deputy Minister of Health of the Kamchatka Territory Andrey Dadianov paid a working visit to the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the management and students of the university. The official spoke about Kamchatka and invited the students of the residency to participate in a project implemented in the region.

In May of this year, a cooperation agreement was signed between KBSU and the Ministry of Health of the Kamchatka Territory. Then, on the initiative of the university’s career development department, a career guidance meeting of students with Andrey Didanov and the chief physician of the Vilyuchinsk hospital Abdulgapiz Medzhidov was held, who invited graduates of the KBSU Medical Academy to work in this Far Eastern region.

The picturesque Kamchatka Peninsula, washed by the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea, with a population of 300 thousand people, has a fairly developed infrastructure, including medical. Among the 42 institutions of the state healthcare system of the region there are 23 hospitals, 10 outpatient clinics, six dispensaries, two ambulance stations, a blood transfusion station and a disaster medicine center, and in addition, 60 structural divisions. In 2024, a new regional hospital will open its doors and accept its first patients

Two resort areas with thermal springs have been formed on the peninsula — Paratunskaya and Malkinskaya (the village of Malki is located 2.5 hours drive from the capital of the region — the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky).

However, due to the geographical remoteness of the region, the territory of which is 21 times larger than the area of Kabardino-Balkaria, as well as the lack of a specialized higher educational institution in Kamchatka, there has historically been a shortage of medical workers, so the specialized ministry is actively working on the line of personnel provision. The region is especially interested in pediatricians, therapists, graduates of residencies in various fields. Young specialists have the opportunity not only to work, but also to develop, to receive a high salary. The working conditions are comfortable, there are many social programs, for young doctors — an excellent start of a career in the land of volcanoes.

The conditions of the program «Zemsky Doctor», «Zemsky Paramedic» deserve special attention. One-time payments will amount to one to two million rubles, a decent salary, other measures of regional social support are guaranteed.

The public health system is experiencing a personnel shortage, the Far East is no exception. The federal center, local authorities are systematically improving measures to support medical specialists, — explained A. Didanov. — Today, Kamchatka offers a potential applicant a decent salary, living conditions, lifting payments.

Since 2025, the doors of regional medical organizations are open to trainee doctors. For this category of health workers, the regional authorities have provided special preferences and employment conditions. Thus, the residency students who have expressed a desire to find employment as an intern in the territory, the ministry guarantees compensation for transportation costs to the place of work and back, compensation for the cost of renting a living space or hotel accommodation, a salary of 120 thousand rubles per month. Young specialists who want to gain new experience and knowledge during the internship will visit one of the most beautiful corners of our country without incurring financial costs.

Thanks to the work of a well-coordinated team, the regional healthcare system is developing, achieving success at the federal level. We expect to welcome active, goal-oriented people who want to make their own contribution to the development of the domestic healthcare system.
