KBSU Environmental Volunteers Host Plastic Recycling Workshop

The «Green Patrol» (Zeleny Dozor) environmental group at KBSU, together with volunteers from the university’s Resource Center, organized a workshop on plastic waste recycling.

Aslan Kochetov, head of the «Green Patrol,» introduced participants to the operation of the recycling equipment: a pedal-powered shredder, an extruder, an injector, a PET-bot, and a heat press.

Participants witnessed the entire process firsthand—from shredding the plastic to manufacturing new items. Keychains featuring the logos of KBSU and the Ministry of Youth Affairs were created from the recycled material.

The event demonstrated that waste recycling can be not only a beneficial environmental practice but also an engaging process in which anyone can participate.
