A presentation of the new mobile guide “Elbrus” took place at KBSU
September 6 at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov presented the results of the student expedition “Elbrus Resort. Digital guide for tourists.
Let us remind you that from August 27 to September 7, 17 students from different universities in Russia, on the initiative of the state development institute Kavkaz.RF, became developers of the digital guide “Elbrus” on the VK Mini Apps platform.
This is a full-fledged digital product, a multi-platform application that is available on the VKontakte platform today, i.e. tourists who are interested in the Elbrus resort can already use this application, and it will help them navigate through the activities available at the resort, find out about the status of the cable cars, the weather in the Elbrus region, there are many other functions that we managed to implement during the expedition ,” — commented Ksenia Skeeter, project manager in the business development team of VKontakte LLC. – We are very pleased with the results of this expedition. Some of the guys proved themselves so well that we invited them to the VKontakte office to show how the employees work. And I think that we would be glad to see some of the guys as colleagues in the future.
The main goal of the project is to expand the audience and increase the attractiveness of the Elbrus resort. Analysts, developers and PR managers of the Elbrus mobile guide from among the expedition participants worked to achieve it.
The Elbrus digital mobile application helps to focus the tourist’s attention on the territory and products that the resort offers in order to draw up a fruitful program of stay within the boundaries of the zone controlled by the resort. An important task was the accumulation of data about the resort and adjacent territory. This is a tool that helps tourists choose the information they need and guides them along the right path,
– manager-analyst, student of Tomsk State University Anastasia Paramonova, spoke about the results of her part of the work.
Alexander Polukhin, a student at the Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics (St. Petersburg), introduced the development manager to the currently available functionality of the application and its design.
As the participants noted, not all the ideas that were born during the work on the project were implemented in 10 days. The mobile application will be developed and improved. But in general, the task was completed.
I think you will like our application and it will be a good assistant to all travelers in the Elbrus region,
– project participant, KBSU student Maryana Goshokova is confident.
