Yuri Altudov won the highest award of KBR

Today on the eve of the Day of Statehood of the KBR in the Hall of Columns of the Government House a solemn ceremony of presenting state awards took place. Agriculture, healthcare, education, industry, construction, sports, culture, mass media representatives, labor veterans, public figures were awarded high honors.

«In the hall, the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Yuri Kokov emphasized that those who work with their labor worthily continue the traditions of the older generations, make a significant contribution to the construction of modern Kabardino-Balkaria. «Each of you has achieved high results in your activities. Your life is an example of hard work, personal responsibility for the fate of our people, the desire to do as much as possible, to benefit people,» — said Kokov.

The highest award of the republic — the Order «For Services to the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic» was awarded to Yuri Altudov. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Doctor of Economics, professor, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology, he has gone from the chief engineer of the Nalchik plant of semiconductor devices to the first deputy chairman of the Government of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Responding to the Government for the financial and economic block, during the transition period, he made a great personal contribution to overcoming the decline in production and the economy’s withdrawal to the trajectory of sustainable development. Recent years Yuri Altudov is the head of the Kabardino-Balkaria State University named after H.M. Berbekov. During this time the university not only retained a leading place among the universities of the South of Russia, but further strengthened its leading position.
