Good psychological and physical well-being is an element of a harmoniously developing personality — this is how you can formulate the idea of ​​Open Days at the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Sports Education and the Faculty of Medicine of the KBSU held as part of the Nauka0 + All-Russian Science Festival.
Master classes, lectures, excursions in laboratories, round tables and discussions for schoolchildren and students were held in the Days of Science in all divisions of the university. Many of the activities, besides helping senior pupils in vocational guidance, were in the nature of practical assistance in self-development and self-determination.
Thus, Rimma Kumysheva, an associate professor at the Department of Pedagogical Education at the Institute of Physics and Education, conducted training using the methods of developing emotional self-regulation and their role in self-education of the individual. And Rimma Bagova, deputy director of the institute for research work, conducted a lesson, “Psychology is a science for a person”, where problems of interaction between everyday and scientific psychological knowledge and practical work were carried out using narrow-minded and scientific methods of cognition of personality, character traits, and properties of the nervous system. temperament types. With great pleasure not only schoolchildren, but also university students took part in the master class.
The Faculty of Medicine of the Kabardino-Balkarian University opened its doors to students of specialized classes of schools and provided an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills not covered by the school curriculum, broaden the scientific outlook, and assist in the choice of the future medical profession.
Within the framework of the project “I WANT TO BE A DOCTOR”, the faculty and students of the faculty made a presentation of the medical faculty to schoolchildren, showing a video film about the medical faculty, where they talked about the higher educational institution: the history of the faculty, traditions, outstanding graduates of the faculty, the educational process and features of personnel in the field of medicine, workflow and rest organization of students, their participation in socially important projects.
Schoolchildren visited science laboratories, where they were introduced to research methods and laboratory equipment. They were able to look into the world of microbes and bacteria through the eyepiece of the microscope. In the anatomical museum of the faculty, schoolchildren learned the structure of human organs and systems on natural biomaterials and dummies, received a general overview of the human body. Also, advanced 3D technologies in the form of an anatomical touch table were opened to the eyes of schoolchildren, where they were shown the layered structure of human organs and tissues.
In the simulation center of the KBSU schoolchildren were given the opportunity, on dummies and phantoms, to carry out intravenous and intramuscular injections, provide first aid and resuscitation aid, and also perform operations on endoscopic equipment. In the course of these events, schoolchildren were inspired by what they saw and the thought of choosing the upcoming profession was strengthened in their minds.
