The «University Shifts — Elbrus» are over
The eighth season of the «University Shifts» has ended at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.
This year, about 1,200 schoolchildren from all over the country, including from new regions of Russia, visited the Elbrus Educational and Scientific Complex of KBSU. Two shifts out of eight were held in a new format — with the involvement of school students-activists from different regions of our vast homeland.
Vice-rector for Youth Policy, Educational Work and Social Issues Beslan Nazranov noted the special importance of the project in the patriotic education of the younger generation at the official closing ceremony of the «University Shifts».
This project has become an important platform for interaction between young people from different regions of our country. Thanks to the efforts of the university community, students, and faculty, a general development program was implemented for the project participants this year, within the framework of which the participants got acquainted with the activities of the university and areas of professional training, immersed themselves in the sphere of youth policy implemented in the higher education system.
In nine days, schoolchildren not only gained new knowledge, but were also able to find friends, discover the culture and history of our region. I hope that each of the children will take with them not only impressions, but also the desire for new achievements.
This year, the university held shifts in a new format with the participation of schoolchildren-activists from different parts of Russia. This created a unique atmosphere of exchange of experience and ideas. It is such experiments that contribute to the unity of young people, the opportunity to develop and strive for new heights,
— emphasized the vice-rector for Youth Policy, Educational Work and Social Issues.
Beslan Nazranov presented certificates and books to the activists of the “University Shifts”. During the final 8th shift, the children attended various educational lectures, including on the history and culture of the region, took part in quests, master classes, sports events, went on two hikes and climbed Elbrus. The creative competitions «Minute of Fame» and «King and Queen of the Shift» were held in an interesting way. The farewell gala concert was just as eventful. As the children admitted, they will keep the memories of these wonderful 9 days for a long time.
KBSU has been among the participating universities implementing the «University Shifts» project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation since 2022.
