The protection of intellectual property was discussed at a series of seminars at KBSU
About 100 scientists of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov passed a series of seminars «Peculiarities of protection and protection, intellectual property», organized on November 7, 9 and 18 at the initiative of the technology and innovation support center of the department of scientific research and innovation activities of the university. The cycle of seminars was opened by the head of the UNIID Natalya Cherkesova:
«Our main task today is to intensify patent and inventive activity among the faculty, students, graduate students and young scientists of our university, as well as to develop new effective mechanisms for managing the results of the intellectual activity of the university. We hope that our scientific and practical seminars will allow us to create the results of intellectual property in the future, which will be in demand in production and commercialized in the future».

The seminars raised the topics of concepts used in civil law in the field of intellectual property, protection and protection of intellectual property, contractual grounds for the emergence of intellectual property rights, protection of copyright and patent law in the field of sociology, psychology and pedagogy, patents in the field of physics, mathematics, computer science, electronics and robotics.
Candidate of Law, Director of the Institute of Law, Economics and Finance, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure Elena Mashukova spoke about the history of the formation of the patent service of KBSU, about the mentor of the current intellectual activity specialists involved in the protection of objects of copyright and patent law, Lera Iskakova.
«More and more various technologies appear on the educational market, aimed at providing unique competitive advantages to the companies that developed them. True, these advantages will be unique only if the exclusive rights to use the technologies that provide them are properly secured by law, for example, for a university employee or the university itself,” — said Elena Mashukova.
Head of the Laboratory for Online Learning and Data Analysis in Education of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, 3rd year postgraduate student in the direction of «Education and Pedagogical Sciences» of KBSU, Khazhmukhamed Etuyev made a presentation on what can be patented in the field of education and pedagogical sciences. He also shared his personal experience in registering patents as an industrial design in the field of digital transformation.
«This year, the employees of our institute, together with the Center for Technology and Innovation Support, designed and registered seven computer programs with Rospatent, where the copyright holder is KBSU. These programs are intended for teachers, university students undergoing pedagogical practice, and for preparing children for school, schoolchildren, specialists in secondary vocational education, areas of training in medical specialties, clinical psychologists, psychologists, teachers of primary school and preschool education», — said Olga Mikhailenko, director of the IPPiFSO .
All three days of seminars were held in the mode of live dialogue with the audience. The head of the TISC UNIID, Maryana Marzhohova, said that four more seminars are planned to be held in December with the involvement of other institutes and colleges of the KBSU. Based on the results of the seminars, the organizers collect suggestions, wishes and comments from the audience in order to take them into account in the work on interaction with the inventors of the university.
