The PROFSTART forum brought together the best graduating class students in the Elbrus region

Release date: 29.01.2024

A good start. Schoolchildren of the republic attended the first career guidance forum of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov “PROFSTART”.

The first winter career guidance thematic youth forum “PROFSTART” was held from January 18 to 21 at the Elbrus educational and scientific complex of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.

The forum, organized by the Department for Pre-University Training and Career Guidance at KBSU, brought together 30 graduates of general education organizations from all municipalities of the republic on one site.

As part of the forum program, participants worked in teams with curators — KBSU students, who, like no one else, were able to tell future students about the delights of student life.

In addition to teamwork, the guys actively took part in lectures, seminars, and quests.

The participants also met with the invited guest – acting. Vice-Rector for Admissions and Pre-University Activities, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the Russian Federation Arsen Kharaev.

“Only you know which path is most suitable for you. Listen only to yourself in choosing the direction where you want to go. You are our bright future. You will definitely succeed!” – Arsen Mukhamedovich addressed the forum participants. He talked with the guys in an informal setting, answered all their questions and talked about his student life.

A special feature of the forum was that the entire program was developed using NFE methods. For example, on the second day of the program, alternative sites were organized for the children:

– medical direction;

– robotics and mechatronics;

– drone control;

– forensics;

– engineering and technical direction.

For two hours, university representatives told participants about the directions and showed the university’s achievements.

“It was expected that the work of alternative sites would attract the attention of the children, since this format of getting to know the direction is interesting and not boring,” — noted Albina Vindizheva, head of the UDPiPR.

As part of the program, she told participants about the admissions campaign for 2024 and talked with them about innovations.

In addition to the intense educational program, the children were given the opportunity to have a healthy rest. Every evening the teams prepared themed creative performances and showed off their talents.

“The first, but far from the last “PROFSTART” was bright and eventful. We look forward to new meetings with the forum participants within the walls of the university as students,” — summed up the head of the UDPiPR Albina Vindizheva.
