KBSU students with writing talents are offered a prize
The Federal State Budgetary Institution «Center for Support of Youth Creative Initiatives» invites students, postgraduates and young scientists of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov in the project «National Prize for Young Authors Writing in Russian».
The annual “National Award for Young Authors Writing in Russian” provides aspiring writers with a unique opportunity to publish their work, open their audience and find their own publishing house.
Citizens of the Russian Federation, aged 18 to 35, who are young prose writers, poets and screenwriters, are eligible to participate in the award.
Applications are accepted in the following nominations: «Nonfikpsh», «Action novel», «Fantasy», «Fzntazi». «Poetry», «Comics», «Children’s Book» and «Electronic Book» (Special nomination).
Dates of the Prize — from May 31 to November 13, 2021,
The start of collecting applications for participation — May 31, 2021;
The application period will last from May 31 to August 23, 2021;
The work of the expert council of the Prize — from August 23 to October 19, 2021;
The jury’s assessment — from October 19 to November 1, 2021;
Summing up and the award ceremony for the Prize participants will be held from November 11 to November 13, 2021.

The first stage of the 2021 project will be an educational course, within which the Prize partner publishers, literary bloggers, literary agents, editors will provide participants with a complete understanding of publishers’ requirements for book works in each category and will give a substantive understanding of the book market and its functioning.
It should be noted that in 2020, 631 applications were received from participants from 35 regions of the Russian Federation. The winners of the 2020 Prize got the opportunity to conclude an author’s agreement for the publication of the work in the publishing group «Eksmo-AST», the opportunity to publish in the «Literaturnaya Gazeta». The winner in the «Electronic Book» nomination signed a contract for the publication of the work in «Liters» and the promotion of the work on all resources of «Liters». All finalists of the Prize received the opportunity to study at the Eksmo Writing Academy.
The purpose of the Prize is to form a professional youth literary community, create conditions for training, identifying and promoting the brightest and most talented young authors who write in Russian and who want to develop their literary project.
