KBSU scientists will speak at an international conference
On March 1 — 5, the Cheget boarding house in Terskol will host the XXXVI International Scientific Conference «Interaction of intense energy fluxes with matter», dedicated to the 75th birthday of Academician Vladimir Evgenievich Fortov (23.01. 1946 — 11/29/2020).
The forum will present a wide range of scientific research in the field of «Physics of extreme states of matter». The most pressing problems from the point of view of world science will be considered:
— interaction of intense radiation with matter;
— shock waves and detonation;
— equations of state of matter in extreme conditions;
— physics of low-temperature plasma.
Plenary work is planned in four corresponding sections. Well-known scientists, as well as young researchers, graduate students, trainees of the RAS departments and students are invited as speakers.
The scientific program of the conference reflects the current state of research in the field of high energy density physics. The following issues will be considered:
— interaction of laser, ion, electron beams and intense X-ray radiation with matter;
— interaction of microwave radiation with matter;
— physics of shock waves and detonation;
— equations of state of matter;
— physical and energy problems and technological projects;
— experimental methods of plasma diagnostics;
— physics of dusty plasma.
The organizers of the conference are the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute for Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Scientific secretary of the organizing committee: Konstantin Khishchenko. 125412 Moscow, Russia, st. Izhora, 13, bldg. 2. El. mail: elbrus@ihed.ras.ru
Conference sessions will be held in English and Russian and broadcast on-line.
The expected opening of the conference on March 1 at 15:00.
