KBSU has identified the best experts on the eve of the new year

On December 21, 2022, the New Year’s tournament on the intellectual game «ChGK» was held among the employees of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov. The game, organized by the department for youth policy and educational work, aroused great interest among the staff of the university. Test your ingenuity and erudition at the Kh.S. Temirkanov, 12 teams from 11 departments of KBSU gathered: Chelsea UKiPO, IPeIF Ambassadors, Summa Tekhnologiya UIT and IT, Sotsium SGI, Insight IPPiFSO, Vector IPPiFSO, Cerebro Medical College, Efim Suprim » Student Council, Nature Connoisseurs IHiB, Technology Sum of IT and IT, Rick Sanchez UNIIID, Dock Wise Men IIEIR, Hippocrates Faculty of Medicine. The game consisted of 2 stages. In the first one, all teams played at the same time: the presenter voiced the question, and the players came up with an answer by brainstorming for a minute. Experts faced tricky questions, some of which were proposed by their colleague, director of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Boris Kunizhev.

For example: “On Earth it is possible, but it is better not to do it. This is not possible on the International Space Station. What is it?» and “The name of this plant consists of two words: one indicates the way in which it defends itself against animals, and the other indicates the animal against which it is powerless. What plant are we talking about? After 15 questions, 3 teams with the best results advanced to the second stage: «IPeIF Ambassadors», «Socium» SHI and «Rick Sanchez» UNIIID.

The second round was held according to the traditional rules of the well-known TV game: each team sat down at a round table and answered 13 questions. According to the results of the second round, the team «Socium» SHI took the lead and won a landslide victory. The format of the intellectual game for teachers and staff seemed to me a great form of leisure and communication. In the daily hustle and bustle, there is not always time to even talk to each other. Of course, it’s always nice to win, but even without that we would get the most out of the game. It’s nice that all teams reacted to the competition with the right balance of humor and seriousness.

The SHI «Socium» team showed a high level, we had 2 extra minutes left due to early responses. This cannot but give self-confidence. I would like to hope that such events or series of games will continue, — Marina Bitokova, the captain of the Socium team, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor, shared her impressions of the game.
