Initiation into SHI student

Release date: 01.11.2022

The first bright and memorable cultural and entertainment event for all first-year students within the walls of the university is “dedicated” — a solemn ceremony of initiation into students. It is held in the format of a show, a skit or a concert, where newly minted students can show off their creative talents and listen to parting words from their older comrades. So, for example, on October 25, the «dedicated» was held at the Social and Humanitarian Institute of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov on this wonderful autumn day, teachers, students and, of course, first-year students of the SHI came to the stage of the hall of the Creative Workshop of A.N.Sokurov.

“The most pleasant memories remain from student life. I hope that during the years of study at our institute you will be able to acquire those competencies that will make you successful specialists. But the most important thing is that you always remain people with a capital letter. Good luck!”, — Muslim Tamazov, director of SGI, gave parting words to the first-year students.

“Today, dear freshmen, you officially become members of our large friendly family of KBSU. My colleagues and I will make every effort so that we let you go to this great life with the proud name of a graduate of our beloved, native Kabardino-Balkarian State University,” — Albina Vindizheva, Deputy Director of SHI, greeted the young students.

At this, the official part of the meeting ended, and the SHI students put on a real show on the stage: they danced, sang, showed videos about student life and small theatrical performances. The audience reacted violently to the performances with applause and supported amateur artists.

“Today we dedicate our freshmen to students. We want them to join the student culture, to those traditions that have been formed in our institute over many decades. I hope that this will be a worthy generation of students, that we will find a common language. This year we have received over 200 freshmen. I think this is a very good set of guys — motivated, really interested in the areas of training for which they entered. We expect good results from them after the sessions,” — Muslim Sultanovich shared his impressions.

The director of SHI also spoke about the plans of the institute:

“We must think about new areas of training that are related to the development prospects of our region. According to the third mission of universities, universities should influence the socio-economic development of the subject in which they are located, so I think that we should set the tone. The special status of our institute is acquired in connection with the latest events that are taking place in our country and in the world. Now more and more people are beginning to realize the importance of traditional values, knowledge of their historical past, and the fight against fakes. The directions of our institute give a strong antidote against fakes and the fight against discrediting our history.”

These days, enlightenment ceremonies are held in all educational departments of the university.
