Eco-youth of KBSU for the fight against beauty garbage

Release date: 21.08.2022
On August 16, caring residents of the republic took part in the campaign for the separate collection of plastic waste from cosmetics «Eco-youth for the protection of nature», in which members of the environmental labor team of the KBSU «Green Watch» became active participants. The organizer of the campaign, cosmetologist Dzhamilya Batyrbekova, was also supported by the authorized waste management operator in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic «Ecologistics», the development institute of the city of Nalchik «Platform», the business association «Business Russia».
Jamilya Batyrbekova is convinced that the turnover of plastic and non-recyclable materials in the beauty industry is excessive: “If you strive to maintain your health and skin attractiveness and carefully choose high-quality natural cosmetics, pay the same attention to the choice of materials from which containers and packaging are made. for care products. After all, the life cycle of any packaging must be completed by recycling, and not by a garbage dump, where it will decompose for decades, poisoning the soil and water. At the same time, another problem is that shampoo bottles, cream tubes and other plastic garbage must be clean, otherwise they will not be taken for recycling.” The second part of the action — eco-discussion was held in the creative space «Perimeter».
A lecture was given by environmental activists of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after I. Kh. M. Berbekova «Green Watch», where they talked about the importance of sorting garbage. “Ecology is a new trend in modern society. This important topic affects all spheres of life, and even in our green republic, people began to notice environmental problems. There are a lot more conscious people, and that’s great. Our task is to preserve what we already have and not aggravate the current state,” — said Asker Shibzukhov, head of the department of ecology and nature management of the KBSU. Master classes on recycling used paper were also organized by the printing master Natalia Gornostaeva. Natalia creates exclusive notebooks from recycled materials. All active participants of the action received gifts from its organizers and partners.
