Director of the Medical Academy Ismail Miziev represented KBSU at the National Surgical Congress

Director of the Medical Academy of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov Ismail Miziev took part in the work of the «National Surgical Congress — 2024», held in St. Petersburg. It brought together the most authoritative surgeons from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Switzerland.

A wide range of issues will be covered: abdominal, thoracic, hepatobiliary, bariatric, endocrine, endovascular surgery; military field surgery, neurosurgery, mammology, herniology, venous thromboembolic complications, etc.

As part of the congress, a round table was held on ways to improve the anesthesiology and resuscitation system in a multidisciplinary hospital. There was also an exhibition with the participation of more than sixty Russian and foreign companies and distributors of medical instruments, consumables and equipment.

Ismail Miziev presented at the congress a joint application of the KBSU Medical Academy and the Kabardino-Balkarian Ministry of Health for the right to hold the VIII Congress of Surgeons of the South of Russia in Nalchik in May 2025 and received approval from the Russian Society of Surgeons.
