September 19 at the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov held an open lecture «The influence of magnetic fields on the higher nervous activity of man» by the famous scientist, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor, head of the laboratory for the development of medical technologies of the Russian scientific center «Kurchatov Institute», our compatriot Salim Naurzakov.

The lecture was organized on the initiative of the Directorate of the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of Kabardino-Balkarian State University for undergraduates of biologists, however, given the multidisciplinary character of the problem under consideration, a wide range of students and teachers in the fields of biology, chemistry and medicine attracted considerable interest.

The scientist spoke about his scientific research, the origins of research in the field of the influence of magnetic fields on the human brain, on the research of mechanisms of image formation in the visual field of the brain using superconducting quantum magnetometers.

The audience actively participated in the discussion of the scientific lecture, asking many questions about the developments of physicists in the field of modern medical technologies.
