Another record of KBSU admission committee

KBSU’s admission campaign-2023 will soon end.

Records of admissions campaign

9045 applicants have been registered in the electronic information system of KBSU. For comparison, last year there were 8106 people.

What is the reason for such a large number of applicants 9045. This year there are more graduates of general educational organizations, more graduates and secondary vocational educational institutions, not only in the republic. It should be noted that our region is comfortable for nearby regions that are similar to ours in terms of mentality or religious beliefs. This is Chechnya, and Ingushetia, and Dagestan, and Karachay-Cherkessia, and Adygea. A lot of applicants from these republics enter our university. Traditionally, it has always been around 10-15%, this trend continues.

Foreign applicants

This year we also set a record for the foreign block. There are now 815 people registered in the system, which was not the case before. Top specialties in the areas of training where they are enrolled: in the first place, traditionally, «General Medicine» (English-language program), there are more than 400 applicants.

And then there is an unprecedented distribution in natural science areas of training: geography 63 people, chemistry 43 people, pedagogical education, physical education profile 37 people, mathematics 36 people, general medicine in Russian 35 people, economics 26 people, philology, Russian language profile and literature 23 people. Further distribution goes even in such areas of training as design, linguistics, management in technical systems, quality management.

I want to note the work of Fatima Arturovna Berbekova, who is my deputy for the reception of foreign citizens and stateless persons. It can be said that she opened a window to Turkmenistan at the suggestion of the then head of the Department for Pre-University Training and Career Guidance Aksana Karasheva, who, during a business trip to Turkmenistan, distributed Fatima Arturovna’s contacts in various universities and schools. Subsequent effective communications led to the fact that all recruiters and applicants who contacted her entered our system.

Today, I can note that India is still the first in the top countries, most of their students study in the English-language program in the specialty «General Medicine». The second is Turkmenistan. Egypt has moved to third place. Further traditionally Syria, Jordan, African countries.

The super service «Online admission to the university»

This year, a third of applications for bachelor’s and specialist’s programs went through the super service «Admission to a university online» on the State Services portal. There is also a significant increase compared to previous years.

Why choose KBSU?

People generally understand that our regional education and the education received at KBSU is at a fairly high level. Our university is well-known, it is present in almost all key ratings for assessing the quality of education, such as Interfax, RAEX, TNE, etc., and occupies fairly high positions. And our applicants, of course, see these positions, they always break through universities for prestige, significance, and so on. KBSU is not inferior to other universities in any criteria: neither in the quality of training, nor in student life or originality, as we say. So it all came together in such a large number of applicants.

Orders for admission to budget places

To date, we have 100% filled the budget places at the levels of secondary vocational education, this is 785 people. 100% fulfilled the state task of our founder of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

1051 state-funded places were closed for undergraduate and specialty programs, 421 places for magistracy, 163 places for residency, and 25 places for postgraduate studies.

The entire volume of budget places 2445, which was allocated this year to our university, is completely closed.

On the conclusion of contracts for the provision of paid services

If applicants are not included in the order for admission to state-funded places, they still have time and opportunity until August 28 to make a decision and draw up an agreement with our university for the provision of paid educational services and make payment. Let me remind you that without this agreement and payment, the applicant will not be included in the order for enrollment under contracts for the provision of paid services. Moreover, applicants to colleges must also submit the original certificate before August 28.

From August 29 to August 31, orders for enrollment in the contract will be issued. Russian citizens and citizens of the CIS can pay the cost of tuition for six months, foreign citizens are required to pay tuition for one year in full.

Admission campaign is now at the finish line. Applicants have only a few days left to make their choice in favor of that direction of study.
