A Linguistic Workshop In The Form Of A Creative Meeting Have Passed In KBSU

“Tolerance is the path to success” under this name at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University held a meeting of schoolchildren of MKOU Secondary School No. 3 and students of the Higher School of International Education of KBSU.

The meeting covered several areas of sociocultural exchange: 8th grade students told KBSU foreign students about Kabardino-Balkaria, the culture and traditions of the peoples inhabiting the republic, in Russian for students from India learning Russian, and students from India told students about their country, culture , traditions in English schoolchildren, deeply learning English.

According to Elena Sherieva, the curator of the Higher School of Economics and Management of the KBSU, such meetings make it possible to successfully improve language practice, as well as a mutually enriching exchange in the area of ​​regional studies.

In the cultural and entertainment part of the meeting dances of the peoples of India and Kabardino-Balkaria were presented. Indian students conducted a master class on choreography for schoolchildren, and they, in turn, showed the beauty of Caucasian national dances. A master class on the basics of café was given by Irena Zhanataeva, teacher of national dances, honored artist of the KBR and RI, artistic director of the Pride of the Caucasus ensemble.

By the way, the ensemble not only presented the public with an excellent performance, but also pleased Miss Student KBSU-2019 — Supriya Singh, who dreamed of wearing a women’s national costume of Kabardino-Balkaria and learning how to dance.

The traditional cuisine of the peoples of India and Kabardino-Balkaria was also presented. Students cooked their favorite Indian dishes. Parents of schoolchildren are Kabardian, Balkarian and Russian traditional dishes.

In a relaxed atmosphere, the children, with pleasure, told each other about their life in the republic and their studies.

At the end of the meeting, teacher Arnella Gekkieva voiced an invitation from the leadership of MKOU SOSH No. 3 to hold the next meeting in this format in the near future within the school walls. Joint excursion trips to Kabardino-Balkaria and cultural and historical centers of the republic are also planned.
