Vibrant dances, eSports triumphs, and awards for the best: KBSU celebrated Youth Day

Release date: 30.06.2026

A festive concert dedicated to Youth Day was held at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov. Students and faculty members together summed up the academic year, which was marked by remarkable victories, creative breakthroughs, athletic triumphs, and dozens of significant events.

The event opened with the performance of the Russian National Anthem. Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Educational Work, and Social Affairs Beslan Nazranov addressed the audience:

«How joyful it is to see so many happy and shining eyes today! Happy Youth Day! This is a celebration of those who aren’t afraid to dream, try new things, take responsibility, and change the world for the better. The university administration and faculty are proud of you and your achievements. You are showing excellent results not only in the region but also on the national and international stages. Special thanks to those who create this amazing festive atmosphere! I wish you true friends by your side and good luck in your chosen endeavors. May each of you become a reliable support for your family, a true professional, and a citizen to be looked up to. You are our pride and our future!»
An important part of the celebration was the awards ceremony for students who demonstrated outstanding results throughout the year. KBSU Vice-Rector Beslan Nazranov presented certificates of appreciation for their active participation in student life, as well as for their significant contribution to the university’s social and volunteer activities.

A separate section was dedicated to eSports. The results of the StudArena tournament, presented by the Alpacas club (in UFC 5, FC 5, CS 2, Dota 2, and other disciplines), were announced on stage, and the most «esports-oriented» KBSU institute was named—the Institute of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

The concert hosts recalled that the outgoing academic year had been truly triumphant for the university. KBSU students won the national stage of the «Student Spring-2026» festival, the trade union bureau was among the top five trade union organizations in the North Caucasus Federal District in the «You Are a Leader» competition, and the local branch of the «Movement of the First» won a grant for the «EthnoArkan» project and became a finalist in the all-Russian «First Student» project.

The concert reflected the diversity of the KBSU student community. In honor of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the «Heritage» ethnic culture club performed a captivating Adyghe dance, and students from the College of Information Technology and Economics treated the audience to a fiery Balkar dance. International students also presented their traditions, adding a special touch to the celebration.

The Grand Prix winners of the original day of the 2026 Student Spring (SGI and IMIEN) performed a modern mass dance with live vocals, while the winners in pop singing (KITiE and IMTiIG) treated the audience to a captivating instrumental and vocal performance.

Large ensembles from the Medical College, Medical Academy, and the Institute of Policy and Physics performed a street dance number.

And the song «Do You Know?» performed by Pedagogical College student Alina Matueva became a true popular hit and united all the activists at the recent Student Spring.

The celebration concluded with the ceremonial presentation of the university flags and a collective performance of the KBSU Anthem.
