The conference «Mountain ecosystems and their components» is being held at KBSU
September 21, within the framework of the Year of Science and Technology at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov started the VIII All-Russian conference with international participation «Mountain ecosystems and their components».
The forum was traditionally organized by the Institute of Ecology of Mountain Territories named after A.K. Tembotov RAS, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, Institute of Ecology and Evolution named after A.N. Severtsov, Russian Academy of Sciences, Theriological Society of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the Ecology of Biological Systems, Interregional Public Environmental Movement «Ecology — Life».
More than 120 different specialists of different scientific directions (zoologists, botanists, ecologists, genetics, geographers, etc.) of leading academic institutions, universities and environmental structures of 24 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 7 countries (Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Tajikistan, Turkey).
With words of welcome and good wishes, the conference participants were addressed by Corr. RAS, Director of IEGT RAS Fatima Tembotova; Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Ecology and Evolution. A.N. The topic of today’s conference is extremely relevant. The ecology of mountain systems is a unique direction that requires study. I hope that new interdisciplinary projects will appear within the framework of the forum, including with scientists from KBSU,

The conference will run until September 25. Based on its results, the publication of a collection of abstracts is envisaged. It is also planned to publish a collection of selected conference materials in the journal on the Web of conferences platform.
