The Academic Council of KBSU approved the work of the admission committee of the university in 2022

September 26, 2022 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, members of the academic council of the university at the regular meeting summed up the results of the admission campaign for 2022, discussed and approved the work plan of the council for the 2022/2023 academic year.

At the beginning, those present honored with a minute of silence the memory of those who died as a result of a terrorist act at a school in Izhevsk. At the meeting, issues were considered on assigning the audience No. 204 of building No. 33 to the name of the Honored Builder of the Russian Federation Popovich Viktor Ivanovich, on the installation of a commemorative plaque on the building of the medical faculty of KBSU dedicated to the decision to form the kabardian cavalry regiment in 1914, which included volunteers from the number of kabardians and balkarians.

The list of KBSU employees presented as part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of KBSU for the award of a departmental award of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, as well as students — with a Certificate of Honor from KBSU, was approved. Decisions were approved to reduce the cost of education in accordance with the regulation on the provision of paid educational services at KBSU for students enrolled in parallel to the undergraduate educational program in part-time and part-time forms of study; students of KBSU who enrolled in parallel to the educational program of the magistracy in the correspondence form of education; employees of KBSU who entered the educational program of the master’s program in the correspondence form of education.

In the report on the results of the 2022 admission campaign, acting vice-rector for admissions and pre-university activities Arsen Haraev cited the following target figures: In total, during the period of work of the KBSU Admissions Committee in 2022, 7753 applicants were registered, of which 6006 people were enrolled (77.5%), which is 5% more than the share of enrolled from number of applicants in 2021. A. Haraev also noted that the hybrid format of interaction with applicants (in person and using remote technologies), both at the stage of submitting documents and during entrance examinations, contributed to the expansion of the geography of accepted applications from both Russian applicants and foreign citizens and stateless persons. The joint activities of the department for organizing the reception and management of the engineering and technical infrastructure and information technology made it possible to successfully carry out all the work on interaction with the information platform of the super service «Admission to the university online», which has become the main tool for applicants when submitting an application and documents required for admission.

A significant contribution to the results of the admission campaign in 2022 was made by the department for pre-university training and career guidance of the university. In total, during the academic year, the university held more than a hundred different career guidance events for school students, parents, teachers, etc. The total number of participants in the 2021/2022 academic year was over 8,000.

After listening to the report of Arsen Haraev, the Academic Council decided to approve the results of the work of the KBSU admission committee in 2022, discuss them in educational structural units, and develop an action plan for organizing admission and career guidance work by November 1 KBSU for the 2022/2023 academic year.
