School of volunteer skills - 2018 – the new level

The 60 most active and creative representatives of the Volunteer Center of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University passed the Multifunctional School of Volunteering Excellence — 2018 on the basis of the EUNK KBSU in the Elbrus region. The main organizer of the school was the Student Council of KBSU.

As the deputy director for educational work of the Institute of International Education of Kabardino-Balkarian State University, Asker Vakashev said:

“For the first time, 5 foreign students from Jordan, Sudan and Yemen joined the school of volunteers and joined the educational process without any obstacles”.

Divided into three teams representing one of the elements — Fire, Air, Water, students for five days were trained in the «Fundamentals and specificity of volunteer activities.»

Volunteer school program also included volunteer lectures and practical training in first aid, self-development and psychological training, sports quests, night game, where it was required to pass, as they say, fire, water and … the cold evening air of the Elbrus region.

A mass of positive emotions brought volunteers a meeting with an interesting guest — a popular blogger Vakhtang Lobzhanidze. It was held in the form of a press conference and in the format «without a tie». Students asked the guest any questions they were interested in and received exhaustive frank answers to them. During a rich conversation, the guys learned about some of the intricacies of keeping pages in social networks, acquired valuable advice.

The volunteers also waited for a rich entertainment program, which included all kinds of contests, where everyone could reveal themselves from another side unknown to him and flaunt his new friends with creative talents.

Five days passed quickly, the guys returned home full of vivid impressions and new knowledge, which, undoubtedly, will be useful in the work of the volunteers of KBSU.
