Representative of KBSU at the IV International Conference on the development of inter-university relations

Acting Director of the Higher School of International Education of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov Asker Vakashev takes part in the IV International Conference on the development of inter-university relations in Istanbul (Turkey). On February 21-23, 2022, representatives of 60 universities around the world are immersed in an atmosphere of communication, networking and developing partnerships. The conference is organized by the Association of Eastern European Universities (EEUA), the International Union of Universities (IUU), the Association of Universities in the Asia-Pacific Region (AUAP). Some of the participants, taking into account sanitary restrictions, joined the forum online.

“The event includes working sessions, exchange of best practices, meetings with colleagues, one-on-one business communication. Bogdan Voronovsky, General Director of the Association of Eastern European Universities, was invited as speakers; Director General of the International Union of Universities M. Khair Al-Ghabani; First Vice-President of the Association of Universities of the Asia-Pacific Region Sabur Khan; President, International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA), Jack Wiseman; Secretary General of the Association of African Universities (AAU) Olusola B. Oyewole. The conference participants are grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to personally communicate with colleagues from different countries, work fruitfully with them, analyze the situation on the international education market, learn about how programs are being implemented in foreign universities. There are many contacts. Only today, February 22, 11 meetings with representatives of universities from different continents. It is important for us to display information to the external environment that Berbekov KBSU has 17,000 students, of which 2,000 are foreigners from almost 50 countries, including more than 10 citizens of the Republic of Turkey. It is comfortable for residents of Turkic-speaking regions, the states of the Middle East, Central Asia to study at KBSU, because the similarity of the mentality of the population helps to easily adapt to new conditions. The educational export of KBSU is increasing every year. We offer foreigners training programs in many areas. An appropriate educational program has been developed for each profile, area of ​​training, level of education. KBSU implements all levels of higher education: undergraduate, specialist from 4 to 6 years, magistracy 2 years, postgraduate studies 3 years, residency in medical specialties 2 years. For foreign citizens who want to study Russian more deeply, there is a preparatory department, the duration of which is one year. The cost of training, depending on the program, varies from 90 thousand to 180 thousand rubles. The most expensive educational programs are in the field of medicine, culture and art, physical education, which is due to the basic cost standards established by the founder of the university — the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. On the website of the admission committee of KBSU, you can see data for 2021 on the cost of training on a contract basis. Up-to-date data on the cost of tuition on a contract basis in the 2022/2022 academic year will be published in April-May 2022.
