Museum of History of KBSU replenished with rare exhibits

On July 16, 2022, the Museum of History of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University was replenished with new exhibits. In the presence of and.about. rector of the university Yuri Altudov, acting First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Vadim Lesev, Scientific Secretary Irina Ashinova, physiologist-gerontologist, KBSU veteran Alexander Kochesokov donated photographs, books about KBSU and other documents from his personal archive to the University History Museum. Among them is the book «KBGU 50» edited by the oldest scientists of the university — B.Kh. Balkarov, V.D. Lesev, G.Kh Mambetov, P.A. Savintsev, V.K. Tlostanov.

The book of the famous historian Chalimat Eldarovich Kardanov «Group Portrait in Aushiger» is dedicated to the natives of Aushiger, whose life destinies embody the historical past of the village. Among them are the first rector of the university Hatuta Mutovich Berbekov and the third rector Vladimir Kalimetovich Tlostanov. Another donation copy is the book of the vice-rector for scientific work of the KBSU. HM. Berbekov in 1983–1992 Vitaly Dmitrievich Lesev (1925-1994) «Geography of the feat» with a dedication by the author to Alexander Kochesokov: In memory of the university, in the history of which many pupils have made a glorious page, with the wish to enter their page in the responsible post of head of the personnel department.

Alexander Kochesokov is known as a promoter of a healthy lifestyle, the author of a unique methodology that allows you to be healthy without drugs «based on a sober lifestyle, spirituality, internationalism.» Thanking Alexander Kochesokov for donating documents and printed publications to the museum, Yuri Altudov said: The University can rightly be proud of its rich history. To preserve the cultural heritage and transfer valuable information about the past of the university to the younger generation, a museum of the history of KBSU was created. In the year of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the first university in Kabardino-Balkaria, it is especially important that the museum become an educational platform for students interested in the history of not only our organization, but also their republic.

Guests of KBSU also have the opportunity to see the unique exhibits of our museum with their own eyes. Doctor of Philology Irina Ashinova noted: It is gratifying that the funds of the Museum of the History of KBSU are replenished with truly rare exhibits. For example, quite recently, the niece of the first rector of the KBSU, Madina Temirkanovna Berbekova, handed over for safekeeping a student card signed by Khatuta Mutovich Berbekov.
