KBSU will release the first «Cyber-Highlanders»

January 24, 2023 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov opened the 1st student scientific and practical winter school of information security «Kibergorets». The training will last 3 days, until January 26. During this time, 1st-4th year students of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies of KBSU will attend lectures and practical classes from leading experts in this field and teachers of KBSU.

Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Svetlana Khashirova greeted the participants and experts:

«I am very glad that the foundation of this school is being laid today. I hope that it will continue and for many years attract not only specialists from our republic, but also from all over the country, and maybe become international. Information technology and security are our number one priority right now. As they say, «who owns the information, he owns the world.» Therefore, you have almost the whole world in your hands, and if you learn to master the basics of information security, then you will be very valuable specialists in demand all over the world. I want to wish good luck, success and prosperity to the cyber-school».

Sharing knowledge with students will be Salamin Nagoev, General Director of Sevkavinformcenter LLC (Nalchik), Vitaly Goretsky and Sultan Abazov, leading specialists of Sevkavinformcenter LLC (Nalchik), Aslan Taov, Head of the Technical Support and Information Security Department of the Center for Continuous Professional Development of Pedagogical employees of the Ministry of Education and Science of the KBR (Nalchik).

«Cyber-Highlanders» are waiting for lectures on information warfare, technical equipment, methods of combating phishing attacks and other important topics for ensuring information security. The results of the winter school will be summed up on January 26 at the information security championship between students.
