Yana Kulyushina once again achieved a convincing victory at the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Archery Championship and Junior Championship. The championship program also included an interregional tournament for athletes with musculoskeletal disorders and visual impairments.

Seventy-two athletes representing 11 regions of the country gathered in Nalchik for the qualifying competition for the Russian Championship. Promising young archers and experienced archers, including Paralympic medalists, world champions, and veterans of the North Caucasus Military District, competed on the stadium field.

Yana Kulyushina, a third-year student majoring in Physical Education and Sport at the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Physical Education and Sports Education at Kabardino-Balkarian State University, demonstrated brilliant accuracy and composure, winning the women’s 70-meter individual event. She also won a gold medal in the mixed class, competing in a duet with Inal Gurizhev, a third-year student majoring in General Medicine.

These victories earned Yana a place in the Russian Archery Championships in Ulan-Ude, where she will represent the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

Following the championship, the Kabardino-Balkarian team confidently took first place in the overall team standings, winning 14 medals. In addition to Kulyushina, Anna Strelnikova, Akhmed Kishev, and Disana Balkarova also won gold for the Kabardino-Balkaria team. The athletes’ successes were made possible thanks to the coordinated work of the coaching staff; in particular, the winners and medalists are trained by Honored Coach Natalia Kulyushina.

The IPPPiFSO team wishes Yana Kulyushina success at the federal level and many more exciting victories!
