Release date: 07.11.2023

The International Exhibition “CHEMISTRY” was held in Moscow, which has been held in the country since 1965 and is one of the most prestigious in its industry. KBSU Vice-Rector for Research Svetlana Khashirova takes part in the business program of the forum as a speaker.

12,465 sq. m of the Central Exhibition Complex «Expocentre» are occupied these days by 201 expositions from 8 countries. During the forum, the objective monitoring means of the Fairgrounds recorded 9,545 visitors from 78 regions of the Russian Federation and 57 countries.

The CHEMISTRY exhibition is one of the largest platforms in the country for meeting manufacturers of chemical products and services, research centers, suppliers of advanced technologies, equipment and consumers of various industries from many countries around the world.

The exhibition has a significant impact on the development of both the chemical and petrochemical complex and other industries, and helps strengthen the relationships between Russian and foreign companies.

Vice-Rector for Research Svetlana Khashirova took part in the forum as a speaker at the expert session “Effective tools for the development of scientific activity with the participation of industrial enterprises.”

Her report: “Requests from industrial enterprises as a tool for stimulating scientific activity” provoked lively discussions and many constructive proposals for solving communication and technological issues.

In her speech, she shared her experience of participating in large-scale projects with the participation of industrial partners, paying special attention to the implementation, together with the Titan group of companies, of a comprehensive scientific and technical project of a full innovation cycle.

“Technological sovereignty is impossible without advanced technologies. Their creation requires highly qualified personnel, resources, government and business support. It is important that the forum brings together representatives from government, business and science, who jointly discuss the problems of development and innovation in the country and develop effective tools for solving them.

KBSU speaks at the forum together with industrial partner Titan Group of Companies.

With the participation of this and other industrial partners, the university has implemented several major projects, including within the framework of Government Resolution No. 218 “On approval of the Rules for the provision of subsidies for the development of cooperation between Russian educational organizations of higher education, state scientific institutions and organizations of the real sector of the economy in order to implement complex projects for the creation of high-tech production.»

Participation in such projects allows, in addition to the development of breakthrough technologies, to create a viable scientific team, strengthen the material and technical base, and accelerate technology transfer.

But the most important thing, in my opinion, is to establish long-term relationships with an industrial partner, so that the scientific team continues to accompany the enterprise’s projects even after the end of the project. This requires high responsibility and work organization from the research team — not an easy task in the scientific community, but it is this approach that will allow the research team to survive after the end of the project by receiving new tasks from enterprises,” — noted Svetlana Khashirova.

In the areas of work of the Center for Advanced Materials and Additive Technologies, KBSU managed to establish effective interaction with industrial partners, which developed into long-term cooperation.

“The interaction of scientific teams and industrial enterprises allows us to lay down the research agenda necessary to ensure technological sovereignty and is the basis for the competitiveness of the economy.

We have been cooperating with JSC Composite and Roscosmos State Corporation since 2014 and continue to implement joint projects. We have been interacting with Titan Group of Companies since last year as part of a comprehensive scientific and technical program and hope for further long-term cooperation after the end of the project. Today we are jointly participating in the forum and have already outlined ways for further interaction in various areas,” —  Svetlana Khashirova emphasized.
