KBSU scientists took part in a conference on the education of preschoolers

On September 26–27, 2022, the scientific and practical conference “Education of preschoolers based on traditional spiritual and moral values” (ESSE-REGION) was held in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Educators, methodologists, heads of preschool educational institutions, specialists and heads of educational authorities, practitioners and experts in the field of preschool education, childhood researchers gathered at the site of the Center for continuous professional development of teachers of the ministry of education of the KBR to get up-to-date information on the development trends of modern preschool education and upbringing with the best regional practices and the experience of colleagues, to improve their skills.
The organizers of the conference are the International pedagogical academy of preschool education, the Association for the development of the quality of preschool education, the Ministry of education and science of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic with the support of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, Center for Continuous Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers» of the Ministry of education of the KBR, the public chamber of the Russian Federation, the Women’s union of Russia, the Russian Academy of national economy and public administration under the administration of the president of the Russian Federation, Moscow pedagogical state university.

The goals of the conference, which were outlined by the organizers, are a broad discussion in the professional and parent community of the topic of moral education of preschoolers in the Russian Federation, taking into account regional characteristics and preserving national identity; publicizing the results of this discussion with the participation of socially responsible media. As part of this work, important tasks are to identify effective practices for strengthening morality, citizenship, patriotism, respect for the traditions of the peoples of the Russian Federation, and value orientations in children, taking into account regional characteristics. Improving the qualifications of teachers and educators of preschool educational institutions on the topic of moral education of preschoolers.

Education, based on attention and respect for traditions and one’s roots, cultural code, allows to form a social and civic identity and a broad cultural outlook of new generations of Russian citizens», — said Artur Kazharov, director of the central scientific and practical center for education of the KBR, in his welcoming speech to the conference participants.

Deputy minister of education and science of the KBR Achemez Mokaev wished success to all those present, emphasizing that the theme of the conference meets the needs of the time and goes beyond the narrow professional interests of the pedagogical community. Irina Komarova, candidate of historical sciences, vice-rector for science of the international pedagogical academy of preschool education, who is present at the meeting, is sure that preschool education is a basic element of any educational system.
During the conference, the speakers presented the results of scientific research, creative ideas, shared practical experience on the topic of the conference. The open educational program «Modern preschool education» included lectures, seminars, presentations, master classes by leading experts, including KBSU teachers.
Rimma Kumysheva, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Institute of pedagogy, psychology and physical culture and sports education of the KBSU, made a presentation in which she proposed a model of a child’s contextual activity in the context of bilingualism as an option for optimizing the process of mastering two languages.

«The study of languages ​​in interaction with the real world corresponds in content and sequence of internalization and exteriorization of educational activity to the natural cognitive process. And the study of languages ​​in the spatial-objective, socio-communicative and informational contexts contributes to the harmonization of students’ linguistic, real and cultural pictures of the world», — says Rimma Kumysheva.

Candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor of the Institute of pedagogy, psychology and physical education and sports education Rimma Bagova spoke about the significance of the kabardian wedding as a national institution for the moral and aesthetic education of young people. The kabardian wedding is now a space that combines traditions and modernity and contains great educational potential, and the involvement of children in wedding ceremonies contributes to the assimilation of the gender role and the development of traditional family values, Rimma Bagova proves.
Candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Institute of pedagogy, psychology and physical culture and sports education Fatima Maluhova presented the Dialogue parameters of mastering traditional spiritual and moral values ​​in a multicultural educational space. On the significance of the nart epic in the spiritual and moral education of preschoolers, Leyla Baisieva, candidate of geography, associate professor of the Institute of pedagogy, psychology and sports education, reported.

As part of the conference dedicated to copyright practices, KBSU psychologists presented the training «School of parental competence». Based on the results of the conference, an electronic collection of articles will be published, posted in the RSCI, all participants will receive an electronic certificate of participation, the authors of the articles will receive an electronic certificate of publication.
