KBSU Initiative: An intellectual game dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On May 12, at the initiative of the student research club «Paradigm» of the Institute of Law, Economics, and Finance of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov (KBSU), together with the Youth Council of the local administration of Nalchik, an intellectual game dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Youth House. Five teams, consisting of schoolchildren and students, competed in their knowledge of key events, dates, and heroes in the history of our country.

The event was organized by KBSU students Nursultan Khotov, Kamila Kunizheva, Arianna Orkvasova, and Islam Animukov. The «Paradigm» initiative by the Youth Council aims to preserve historical memory, foster deep respect for the heroism of the Soviet people, and instill a conscious patriotism in the younger generation.

The game consisted of four intense rounds with tasks of varying formats: «Front Line,» «Guess the Melody,» «True or False,» and «Guess the Term.» Participants successfully distinguished real historical facts from fiction, recognized war songs by their first chords, quickly solved speed tests, and accurately named terms from descriptions.

By the final round, the competition for the top spots was so intense that three teams scored a tie. The outcome of the competition was decided by a series of additional questions. The winner was Team «1+5,» made up of first-year students from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IPWIF) majoring in Jurisprudence. Teams «Incredibles» and «Undefeated,» consisting of high school and senior students, took second and third place, respectively. All participants were awarded diplomas and certificates from the organizers.

Such projects at KBSU confirm that an interest in history and the desire to preserve the memory of great heroism remain alive in the hearts of young people. Joint initiatives between the university and the city administration create a solid foundation for patriotic education and the unification of generations.
