KBSU has launched a series of offsite meetings, «Resource Environments,» for university staff
The Career Development Department of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov (KBSU), together with the regional branch of the Russian Society «Knowledge,» organized an event for university staff. The meeting, entitled «Resource Environments,» was held at the TOP Computer Academy in Nalchik.
The main topic of the event was preventing professional burnout and maintaining a work-life balance. Participants included faculty, administrative and management staff, and representatives of the «Knowledge» Society.
The event included practical sessions. Employees explored the mechanisms of stress, learned techniques for rapid recovery during the workday, and discussed setting personal boundaries. The meeting also included a networking session to share experiences between colleagues from various KBSU departments. Emotional intelligence coach and burnout prevention expert Angela Pankseeva discussed methods for adapting the work environment to individual needs.
The meeting was moderated by Kristina Lopatina, Director of the URC Career Development Center.
«We saw a request from university employees for a space for psychological relief. People don’t just want to wait for vacation, but rather recharge while working. The change of location acted as a switch: in neutral territory, we were able to take a break from everyday tasks and refocus on our well-being,» noted Kristina Lopatina.
The KBSU Career Development Office announced that offsite «Resource Environments» are planned to be held regularly, with varying venues and formats for different categories of university employees.
