KBSU congratulates university veteran Hamisha Gidov on his 80th birthday

On August 2, Hamisha Gidov, formerly a leading electronics engineer in the Department of Electronics and Digital Information Technologies at the Institute of Electronics, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, celebrated his 80th birthday.

Hamisha Shamsadinovich dedicated his professional career to the development of domestic radio electronics. The first digital circuit design laboratory systems were implemented under his technical supervision, and many of the institute’s current employees took their first steps in the profession under his guidance. His deep knowledge of analog and microprocessor technology became a fundamental foundation for several generations of engineers in the region.

Hamisha Gidov was congratulated by his colleagues from the KBSU Institute of Electronics, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence, along with Director Zamir Shomakhov. For his many years of dedicated work, Hamisha Gidov was awarded the KBSU Certificate of Honor. Warm wishes were conveyed by Khasan Shurdumov, Chairman of the KBSU Council of Veterans; Dakhir Gaev, Director of the Center for Microelectronics and Nanotechnology; Oleg Molokanov, Scientific Director of the Specialized Design Bureau «Microelectronics and Mechatronics»; and Ruslan Teshev, Head of the Department of Electronics and Digital Information Technology.

«It is a great honor for me to receive these tokens of appreciation from my beloved university,» Hamisha Shamsadinovich shared his emotions. «I have seen our university grow, and yesterday’s students become doctors of science. Thank you, KBSU, for preserving the traditions of continuity and respect for experience.»
The KBSU hero also thanked all the guests who shared this memorable day with him. He noted that, despite his age, he continues to be interested in advances in science and technology.
