KBSU and KNRTU discussed issues of joint participation in the «Priority 2030»

Release date: 07.09.2023

On September 5, 2023, a delegation from the Kazan National Research Technological University arrived at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov to discuss issues of further cooperation under the program of strategic academic leadership «Priority 2030».

The delegation included Leysan Dogadina, Head of the Strategic Development Program and Director of the KNRTU Project Management Office, Ildar Musin, Head of the Department of Medical Engineering, and Svetoslav Volfson, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Elastomer Processing Technology of KNRTU-KHTI.

As part of the visit, the guests got acquainted with the scientific laboratories of the Center for Advanced Materials and Additive Technologies of the KBSU, visited the center of hydrogen technologies of the university.

On September 6, in the meeting room of the academic council of the university, a meeting was held between representatives of KNRTU and colleagues from KBSU, during which the main purpose of the visit was outlined — to establish interaction between KBSU and KNRTU in such areas as educational, research, personnel, youth, campus policies in as part of the creation of a research and production consortium to expand and implement the strategic project «KBSU — an integrator of the development of polymer additive technologies.»

Since the development of composite materials and composite chemistry is now very important in Kazan, our partner KNRTU is interested in including KBSU in its consortium, taking into account our competencies in this area. And also to help develop those areas that we would like, including for medicinal chemistry: the introduction of various medical preparations and products. Here KNRTU has vast experience,

— explained Svetlana Khashirova, vice-rector of KBSU.

Making a presentation about her university, Leysan Dogadina noted that their current visit is a continuation of cooperation with KBSU, established in 2018.

I hope that today we will find common ground in the implementation of our development programs within the Priority 2030 program. We, like KBSU, are participants in the basic part. We review our development program every year and we came up with the idea that we can join forces with colleagues from KBSU as part of a project related to superstructural polymers. This idea seemed viable to our rector and rector of KBSU. Our visit is timed to discuss these issues, as well as to search for additional directions. It can also be medical engineering, since there is a very good medical base here, and this is everything that concerns fertilizers, since we have strong partners in Kazan and Nizhnekamsk, with whom we are already interacting within our existing projects. And the entry of KBSU into our consortium would be very promising for us. Such a synergistic effect would be useful for both your region and ours,

— shared the head of the strategic development program of KNRTU.

Ildar Musin, head of the Department of Medical Engineering at KNRTU, said that specialists from Kazan were interested in the technology developed by KBSU scientists for creating domestic membranes that meet the highest requirements.

KBSU and KNRTU complement each other very well and beautifully. In my opinion, the task set by our universities — the creation of engineering plastics and modern products from them, is in great demand today, and not only in our country. Our team covers several areas of interaction. Based on the common tasks, of course, I would like to jointly join the special part of the «Priority». This is a very limited circle of universities that solve very serious breakthrough tasks

— Ildar Musin emphasized.

Tomorrow, September 7, specialists from the Kazan National Research Technological University will take part in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference «Fundamental Science for Practical Medicine-2023» (additive technologies, modern materials and physical methods in medicine: innovations), which will be held in the Elbrus region.
