On October 26, high school students got acquainted with the advanced areas of training at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov. Professor, Head of the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics Murat Khokonov greeted future applicants and spoke about the prospects for employment after graduating from IPM. The scientist drew attention to the fact that the students of the institute have a unique opportunity to study professional English, which greatly expands their professional opportunities.

Then the guys went on a tour of the institute. In the same place, potential applicants were lucky to talk with Rezuan Ganigapshev, a graduate of the Department of Medical Physics. The young specialist spoke about how he came to the choice of higher education after graduating from the Medical College of the KBSU, and about his work on a linear accelerator in the oncological dispensary in Pyatigorsk.

High school students studied the operation of devices with interest, everyone wanted to feel like a medical physicist.

The children were interested in mathematics by the deputy director of IFIM Zhamal Zhaboev. He gave a short lecture, from which they learned about how mathematicians derived the number pi and learned how to measure a circle. The tour ended at the KBSU planetarium, where high school students watched a film about astronomy.
