Information about the admissions campaign of KBSU for parents

Release date: 07.06.2021

Very soon, on June 20, an admission campaign will begin in all universities in Russia. Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov is looking forward to her future freshmen. In order to give applicants and their parents the opportunity to get to know the university better, on June 5, in full-time format, the Open Parent University “Admission Campaign of KBSU-2021: Features of Admission under the New Rules” began to work.

«KBSU is one of the oldest universities in Russia with its strong traditions, faculty, capable of providing students with a high level of knowledge and competencies. Graduates of KBSU will be able to take a worthy place in society,» — Arsen Kharaev, director of the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of KBSU, said confidently, addressing those present.

At the meeting, they talked about changes in the rules for admission to universities in 2021, about the features of admission of documents, namely, remote submission of documents, about targeted admission.

Aksana Karasheva, head of the department for pre-university training and career guidance, spoke about the main innovations in the admission campaign to universities in 2021:

This is, firstly, the cancellation of the second wave of crediting the budget. Acceptance of documents will end on June 29. August 6 is the day of priority admission, i.e. on a competitive basis, beneficiaries, disabled people, target groups will be enrolled. On August 17, the main stage of crediting to the budget will take place. The applicants, as before, will not have a second attempt.
Secondly, the set of entrance examinations has been expanded: in some specialties and areas of training, applicants have the opportunity to adjust their set of examinations. For example, choose a subject from several offered and provide final scores for one of them.

Thirdly, the initials of the entrants will not be indicated in the competition lists. Now the competition lists will be depersonalized. Instead of full name — SNILS or the individual number of the applicant assigned by the university.

Acceptance of documents, said the head of the reception Timur Tabishev, will be carried out using remote technologies, including through the super service «Admission to the university online» through «Gosuslugi» and through public postal operators. In this case, the original of the certificate does not need to be sent anywhere. It is necessary to write a statement of consent, no more than three times. Consent must be given when you already see the situation, assessing your capabilities according to the number of points.

According to Aksana Karasheva, it is better to submit documents where there are budget places. Thus, the state implements labor regulation, covering the vacant need, therefore, training in areas where there are more budget places, makes it more likely to find a job after graduation.

This year, documents can be submitted to five universities. The maximum number of directions in one university is up to 10. In KBSU you can apply for 7 directions.

Further, the head of the reception informed the parents of the applicants in detail about what the target reception is. The target direction is not a guarantor of budget receipts, but a guarantor of the fact that the applicant participates in the competition for targeted admission. When submitting documents, the target agreement is attached to your personal account. A very important circumstance: after graduation, you need to work for at least 3 years in the organization that gave the target direction.

As for disabled children, disabled children from childhood, disabled people of groups 1 and 2, orphans, they have the right to apply for a special quota — 10% of the total number of budget places. People with disabilities can pass the entrance exams at KBSU and choose the best result: the Unified State Exam or the mark on the exam. If the applicant has not passed the competition for a special quota, he automatically participates in the main competition.

The schedule of KBSU internal exams, including those for creative areas, will be posted on the university website. Moreover, entrance exams at KBSU are organized only for disabled children, for college graduates or those with higher education.

If it happened that a school graduate could not pass the exam or gain threshold points, then there is a way out. “Life without the Unified State Exam exists,” Aksana Karasheva reassured. So, in KBSU there are 4 colleges where you can apply for all directions. There is a competition of certificates.

The head of the department for pre-university training also recalled that the number of points for the exam can be increased due to personal achievements: a medal, a certificate with honors, a volunteer book, a TRP badge, a prize at the All-Russian Olympiad, etc. The list of personal achievements is published on the KBSU website. Other achievements that are not included in the official list will be needed when a controversial point arises in front of the selection committee about enrolling applicants with the same USE scores to the budget.

The head of the center for automated information systems Vladimir Denisenko explained step by step how to create a personal account.

During the meeting, the employees of KBSU answered all the questions in as much detail as possible, in conclusion, wishing the applicants successful passing of the Unified State Exam and the correct choice of the future university.
