“Participation in the festival-contest is an important part of professional growth. In a tense, but friendly atmosphere, the contestants needed to be done in a short time — just 90 minutes, to complete the difficult work from the idea to its full realization, and it is pleasant to note that our students performed this work with ease,” — said Amina Sultanova, Ph.D.
The winner of the All-Russian student festival-competition “The heritage of great masters” in the nomination “Artistic processing of metal” was Milana Chegemova.
After the contest, she shared her impressions with us:
“The participants in the nomination“ Artistic processing of metal ”were given the task to make a candlestick in the national style, but they took us to the workshop for forging, and this is not at all what we, the jewelers, needed. We were able to find there only a thick wire and a gas torch. The idea was already spinning in my head, but I was absolutely helpless without solder, and I didn’t want to give up, having gone halfway, I finally had to sacrifice charging from the phone, the copper wire from it went to solder. These were very busy days, and, in fact, everything served me as a great and rewarding experience. I became friends with very talented and interesting people from different parts of Russia who revealed some of their professional secrets,” — said Milana Chegemova.
It is worth noting that during the three days at the festival various seminars and workshops were held, as well as excursion-educational programs for the participants and all the contestants took away from Grozny not only experience, but also a lot of positive emotions and useful knowledge.
