Fairy tale for children is a gift for parents

On July 21, a charity event for children with disabilities was held in the framework of the project «I will help», implemented by the staff of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Education and Sports Education of Kabardino-Balkarian State University. The show «Princess on a Pea».

Thanks to the director of the Museum of the Interior Ministry of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic and the head of the club of fans of theatrical art, Alena Chernova and the director of the Russian Drama Theater named after. M. Gorky Fatima Nikolayeva more than 40 children with disabilities and their parents received undisguised pleasure from the beautiful play of actors.

The guys reacted emotionally to the action on the stage, empathizing with the main characters. They laughed and loudly applauded, were completely delighted with what was happening.

Apparently, the invited families were preparing for this significant day. In advance, the kids prepared drawings depicting their favorite fairy-tale heroes and presented them to the actors after the performance.

The project «I will help» is being implemented at KBSU since the beginning of July. It is aimed at increasing the psychological and pedagogical competence of parents of children with disabilities. During a month, teachers and psychologists of KBSU with the financial support of the company «Rostelecom» and the «Step Forward» fund hold classes in psychology at the Resource Center of the University, trainings for personal growth, master classes on corrective communication that promote the adaptation of special children and their parents in society.

The aim of our project is to help special children who need our help. And for this, first you need to help their parents, support them, give them confidence, since a happy parent is able to convey this feeling to the children. We provide psychological support, share teaching skills. Now the middle of the project. The first part included seminars, master classes. In the second half, it is planned to conduct trainings, where all emotions will be worked out: wine, insult, fear, etc. Parents leave the trainings in a more mature state, having received support and support,

According to Olga Mikhaylenko, the director of Institute, this is not the only socially-oriented project implemented by the institute.

Our students are actively involved in volunteer activities, and volunteer units are organized on each course. Future teachers work a lot with children left without parental care, go to orphanages with charity events, concerts,
