October 22 on the basis of the Museum of History of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov opened a new exhibition space «KbSU students — 90 steps into history.»

Berbekov and Pyatigorsk State University, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as part of the implementation of the Federal project «Patriotic education of citizens of the Russian Federation», as well as in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the university. Before the opening of the exhibition, a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the opening of the exhibition was held in the meeting room of the Academic Council of the KBSU. Teachers and students of various educational departments of the university, library workers, heads of creative teams talked about how the formation of the university, individual faculties and areas of study took place.

Most recently, we celebrated the anniversary of the university, which turned 90 years old. But the celebrations didn’t end there. And today we have gathered here to recall the glorious pages in the history of our alma mater and draw the attention of current students to the achievements of the university, — the assistant to the rector, Ph.D. Zarema Nakhusheva.

At the conference, reports were heard on the contribution of KBSU to the training of social work personnel; about the development of pedagogical education at the university, about the origins of philological education at the university of the head of the REC of the Russian language, about the history of the development of the KBSU library, about the history of such departments as the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design, the Institute of Chemistry and Biology, the Institute of Physics and Mathematics, the Institute of Law, Economics and Finance, Social and Humanitarian Institute, about the formation of a medical college. The reports more than once sounded the names of scientists, teachers, who did so much to make KBSU one of the leading universities not only in the North Caucasus, but also in the country as a whole.

Talking about what students were like before, the speakers noted that at all times the students were the most active part of society. The student time, both then and today, is the best time when a person is just beginning to learn about life, mastering a profession, gaining the necessary skills, this is a period in life when you can gain a lot of knowledge, a time to set ambitious goals and achieve them. And, probably, the most important thing is the time of new acquaintances, finding bosom friends and first love. Roman Romanikhin, head of the Callisto Dance Theater of KBSU, spoke about the history of the creation of the group, and Amir Kulov, the “discoverer of young talents”, the creator of the creative team of the Amiks Song Theater, emphasized that the whole “life” of Amiks is connected with the university.

«Amiks» is Amir and a team of students, — the head of the ensemble explained. At the end of the conference, the Anthem of KBSU was sounded, which became beloved and dear to all students, teachers and staff of the university. The materials of the scientific and practical conference will be published in the scientific journal “Bulletin of KBSU: Journalism. Education. Literature». The event continued with a tour of the museum, where the guests were presented with an exposition reflecting historical events, mechanisms for realizing the scientific and creative potential of young people, the experience of interaction between students and representatives of the university management, the experience of successful graduates from different historical eras, the achievements of student associations of the university.

The head of the Museum of History of the KBSU, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Pedagogical Education of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Sports Education Ashinova Irina Viktorovna noted: The museum space is the center of association of representatives of students of several generations. The diversity and uniqueness of the presented exhibits makes them attractive for scientific research, for organizing career guidance activities, and can contribute to the formation of a career trajectory for current students. This exposition, like the students themselves, is a dynamically developing organism and will be regularly replenished with new exhibits.
