20 regions of the country have delegated their eco-activists to Ingushetia, where from October 27 to 30, the EcoLocation environmental rally was held. The team of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov was represented at the forum by: Valery Demidenko, Malika Otarova and Yulia Vasilenko.

The eco-fly was held in a picturesque corner on the banks of the Assy River, on the basis of the Muzhichi sports and training complex. On the agenda: volunteering and environmental education.

On October 28, volunteers held a community work day, clearing a section of the floodplain of the Assy River. After a hard work, the meeting participants were greeted by the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Ingushetia Akhmetkhan Shadiev, the head of the Committee on Youth Affairs of the Republic of Ingushetia Adam Malsagov and experts in environmental education and volunteering, they talked with the guys and answered all their questions. Five participants of the rally were awarded the medal «Volunteer of Ingushetia». The awards were given to a student of the medical faculty of the KBSU Valeria Demidenko and a correspondent of the press service of the university Yulia Vasilenko.

«For me, an eco-fly is a place where people who care about the future gather. This is not the first eco-meet in Ingushetia that I attend, so the organizers are already close people for me, with whom I am happy to meet again for good purposes. The trip is full of lectures, subbotniks — you don’t notice how time flies. Honestly, I was very surprised when they said that I would be awarded. It’s nice when your work is appreciated. It is very valuable to receive an award from the hands of the Minister of Ecology of Ingushetia and the Chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs», — Valeria Demidenko, a 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine, shared her emotions.

The plenary session ended with trainings and team games on networking and journalism. On October 29, the volunteers went on a subbotnik excursion around the picturesque Dzheyrakhsky district of Ingushetia.

Eco-activists collected garbage on the slopes of the mountains along the tourist route, visited the largest Egikal tower complex in Ingushetia and stopped to rest on the Tsei-Loam pass.

«When looking at the pristine nature of the gorge, the need for our eco-activities is especially acute. I was happy to participate in subbotniks and trainings, listened to lectures and got a lot of warm impressions, new knowledge and acquaintances», — said Malika Otarova, a 3rd year student of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemistry of the KBSU.

Nikolai Startsev, the head of the Nephrite labor ecological detachment, was responsible for the educational program that day. In the format of an open dialogue, the speaker talked about methods for improving environmental literacy and working with schoolchildren and youth.

«According to the feedback from the participants, the rally went well, which is very important. All our expectations were justified. Participants from Kabardino-Balkaria come to us not for the first time, they visit our events every year. This year, we nominated two participants from the KBR for the medal «Volunteer of Ingushetia» from the head of the republic. Our initiative was supported, and Valeria Demidenko and Yulia Vasilenko were awarded. This is very gratifying for us, because it is very important when our regional agenda is supported by young people from other republics», — summed up the director of the ecological gathering «Ecolocation» Akhmed Khalukhaev.
