«Diplomates Of The Future» In The Caucasus

September 11 — 13 this year Within the framework of the First Scientific and Practical Conference “Future Diplomats”, organized by Gymnasium No. 4 of Nalchik and the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU), V.E., Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, was in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Egoshkin, who along with the academician of the Academy of Arts, sculptor N.A. Welcoming remarks at the opening of the conference, which was attended by the heads and teachers of universities, directors of secondary schools, KBSU students and students of the diplomatic classes of the Gymnasium (grades 7-11), were made by the Minister of Education and Science of the KBR A.M. Kumykov

V.E. Egoshkin made a report on the Russian diplomatic service, spoke about the educational program of the ARD and MGIMO (U) “Future Diplomat”. There were also reports on the history of public diplomacy in the North Caucasus, cultural diplomacy as a means of achieving the strategic goals of the state, public diplomacy in the face of the global challenges of our time, and the demand for a diplomatic profile in the educational environment. The Deputy Chairman of the ARD held a separate meeting with the «young diplomats» and answered their questions. The director of the Gymnasium R.A.Nagoeva discussed specific issues of cooperation in the education of the younger generation.

During the visit on September 12, KBSU with the rector of the University Yu.K. Altudov discussed ways of interaction, including with the active participation of MGIMO, in introducing young people to the basics of diplomatic culture. An agreement was reached in principle on an active joint study of the possibility of holding in the summer of 2020 an «international shift of» future diplomats «at the KBSU in Elbrus region.

Meetings were held with a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of Russia, President of the International Circassian Association Kh.Kh.Sokhrokov. An agreement was reached on inviting Circassian children from foreign countries to «diplomatic shifts» conducted through the ARD, including in VDC «Ocean».
