Development Of KBSU Scientists Won A Silver Medal In Thailand

Development of scientists of the Center for Advanced Materials and Additive Technologies «Highly Efficient Polymers and Composites» of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov was awarded the silver medal of the International Exhibition of Intellectual Property, Inventions, Innovations and Technologies IPITEX 2019 in Bangkok.

About 1000 inventions and innovation projects from 25 countries in all branches of science and technology participated in the exhibition. The Russian part consisted of 10 developments of 6 domestic universities from different regions of the country.

Innovative developments and projects presented by the Laboratory of Advanced Polymers at KBSU attracted the interest of exhibition visitors and were highly appreciated by specialists and jury members.

«Our superconstructive polymers and methods of their production are unrivaled among domestic developments and are among the best among the world samples presented at the exhibition. Of great interest was the versatility of manufacturing products from our polymers and extrusion, and injection molding, and printing on a 3D-printer. At the same time, they have opportunities for application in a wide range of strategically important industries. Our pavilion was visited by several thousand developers and investors, and it is gratifying that it was our stand that caused a lively interest,» — said the head of the Center for Advanced Materials and Additive Technologies at KBSU, Professor Svetlana Khashirova.

The main objectives of the IPITEX exhibition are to demonstrate the latest technology and modern technology, establish and develop mutually beneficial contacts between scientific, industrial organizations and enterprises, innovative companies and firms, and develop mutually beneficial scientific, technological, and trade and economic cooperation.

Opening the exhibition, the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr. Prajin Juongong, noted that it is designed to promote effective cooperation between Thai and foreign developers of new products and advanced technologies in the name of peace and progress, as well as to promote their successful commercialization on the national and global markets.
