Day of restoration of the autonomy of the Balkarian people in KBSU

March 27, 2023 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov celebrated the Day of the restoration of the autonomy of the Balkar people. In the cinema-concert hall named after A.N. Sokurov held a concert dedicated to the festive event. Cherim Nakhushev, People’s Artist of the KBR, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Amur Tekuev, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Sultan Hazhirokov, soloist State Musical Theater of the KBR Eldar Zhanikaev.

The folk ensemble of the KBR «Nasyp» delighted the audience with national Balkar dances. Incendiary songs, dances and the art of owning a sword were demonstrated by the artists of the Kabardino-Balkarian State Folklore Song and Dance Ensemble «Terek Cossacks». And in the assembly hall of the medical college there was a literary and theatrical performance dedicated to the history of the deportation and return of the Balkar people to their native land. National dances were performed on the stage, poems were read in the Balkar and Russian languages and texts about the history of the Balkar people, heroes of the Great Patriotic War, outstanding figures of culture, literature, science and sports. The performance ended with the song «Tepsegiz taulula» performed by a 3rd year student Lilia Mechukaeva.
