Release date: 22.04.2024

At the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, within the framework of the Priority 2030 program, a Career Day was held at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics. Students communicated directly with potential employers, learned about existing vacancies, employment prospects and further career growth.

The university maintains partnerships with the High Mountain Geophysical Institute, the Baksan Neutrino Observatory, and Sevkavrentgen-D, to which it can offer young qualified specialists.

According to the director of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics Boris Kunizhev, medical physicists are currently in special demand. Many graduates of KBSU successfully work in medical and diagnostic institutions, research and educational organizations, and at medical instrument manufacturing enterprises. As practice shows, the bulk of the staff of medical physicists in Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania and the Stavropol Territory are graduates of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of KBSU, which indicates the high quality of their training.

The university has also given the republic many bright, responsive, erudite, talented teachers who approach every lesson creatively and become an example for the younger generation. Thus, the teacher of physics and astronomy at Lyceum No. 2 of the Nalchik city district, Aslan Kashezhev, became the winner of the All-Russian competition of teachers “Cool Topic!”

The profession of a teacher may seem boring, but by working with children you can make many interesting discoveries and significantly expand your horizons,

– Aslan Kashezhev noted and encouraged students to choose to work in schools in the future.

As Olga Korotkikh, director of secondary school No. 9 in Nalchik, emphasized, educational institutions in Kabardino-Balkaria need physicists and mathematicians.

“Young people with such a diploma will not be left without work,”
— she thinks.

Students can also search for vacancies on the Facultyus platform. This multifunctional online platform allows you to establish the process of employing graduates and establish relationships between the university and employers.

The meeting was attended by the head of the career development department of KBSU, Ratmir Kotsev.
