Release date: 26.10.2022

On October 21, 2022, as part of an open day, the Pedagogical College of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov was visited by students of 9-11 grades of schools of the republic.

«We are training teachers of a new generation who know how to work according to the standards of the third generation — the newest standards that exist at the moment. Now the profession of a teacher is again becoming quite prestigious, despite the fact that the work of a teacher is quite difficult. But, in principle, there are no easy professions if you work for real. The profession of a teacher makes a person constantly learn, improve, master new competencies, and grow professionally. We can boast that many experienced teachers with many years of experience come to our college for continuing education courses to learn how to work on modern equipment. And we will be very happy if you come to us confident in your professional choice,” — Lyudmila Kuzmenko, head of the specialized competence center for the “Teaching in elementary grades” competence, addressed potential applicants.

The teacher of the Pedagogical College told the children about the main specialties in which specialists are trained: «preschool education», «teaching in primary grades», «physical education», «correctional pedagogy in primary education» and «law and organization of social security». Lyudmila Kuzmenko recalled that the Pedagogical College is a structural subdivision of KBSU and its graduates have the opportunity to enter the university for any direction in internal exams, bypassing the Unified State Examination. As teachers of higher education note, graduates of a pedagogical college, having entered a university, compare favorably with their knowledge and acquired competencies from other students, — said the teacher.

High school students visited the sites where the Young Professionals championship is being tested in the competencies «Teaching in the lower grades» and «Preschool education». Students of the Pedagogical College demonstrated to the guests the capabilities of the new interactive equipment necessary for the training of teachers of the future.

Also, the guys visited the center of the Adyghe culture named after A.A. Tsipinov and the center of Balkar culture named after. K.S. Otarov, where they saw how carefully and respectfully the university treats folk traditions. Sports fans were impressed by the college gym with various simulators, where future physical education teachers work out. Saying goodbye, schoolchildren and their teachers thanked KBSU career counselors for organizing such educational meetings.
