A new medal in the piggy bank of the KBSU men’s judo team

The men’s team of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov in judo became the bronze medalist of the International University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg.

Having defeated the team of the Tajik Institute of Physical Culture and Sports with a score of 4:1, the judokas of KBSU lost in the semifinals to rivals from the team of Belarusian universities with a score of 3:2 and emerged victorious in a fight with a team from Russia (Smolensk) with a score of 5:0. As a result, we ended up on the third step of the podium.

Our team included Aslan Shadov, Kantemir Zambatov (both 66 kg), Mukhamed Aloev (73 kg), Tamerlan Kunizhev (81 kg), Rolan Kunizhev (90 kg) and Idar Bifov (+90 kg).

The coaches of the KBSU national team are Master of Sports of Russia of international class in judo, participant in the 2008 Olympic Games, winner of the Super Cup, World Cup, bronze medalist of the European Championship Alim Gadanov; master of sports of Russia of international class, silver medalist of the world championship in sambo, bronze medalist of the world cup in judo, champion of Russia in sambo, master of sports of Russia in judo Zalim Gadanov.

It should be noted that judo competitions within the framework of the International University Sports Festival were held from August 21 to 22 at the Judo Palace in Yekaterinburg.

16 sets of awards were played: 7 for judokas and judokas, as well as 1 for women’s and men’s team tournaments.

Representatives of 12 countries also took part in the competition: Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Serbia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, South Ossetia, Venezuela and Cuba.

The winners of the men’s team tournament were representatives of the NSU. Lesgaft. Silver was won by judokas from the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Kupala State State University), bronze medals were shared by students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU) and the Tajik State University of Sports.
